Topic: The present perfect continuous tense 1 | level: Intermediate (B1-B2)




Change each sentence into a present perfect continuous sentence.
Example: I started surfing two years ago. → I have been surfing for two years.



1. Robert started playing the violin two years ago. → Robert the violin for two years.

2. Patrick started working as a real estate agent three years ago. → Patrick as a real estate agent for two years.

3. My cousin started making films several months ago. → My cousin films for several months.

4. My neighbours started living in Sydney one year ago. → My neighbours in Sydney for one year.

5. Philip started wearing those runners last year. → Philip those runners since last year.

6. They started laughing half an hour ago. → They for half an hour.

7. My parents started walking home twenty minutes ago. → My parents home for twenty minutes.

8. My grandad started complaining about everything three hours ago. → My grandad about everything for three hours.

9. Sarah started using public transport in May. → Sarah public transport since May.

10. We started cleaning our car an hour ago. → We our car for one hour.
